With its self-adhesive formulation, it eliminates the need for a separate dentin or enamel bonding agent, making the cementation process faster and more efficient.

This versatile cement is compatible with a wide range of restorations, including metal, PFM (porcelain-fused-to-metal), resin/composite, ceramic, and porcelain inlays, onlays, crowns, bridges, and endodontic posts. Its fluoride-releasing properties provide added protection to the surrounding tooth structure, promoting long-term oral health.

1. Pre‑treatment

Follow the dental lab or restoration manufacturer’s instructions for pre-treating the intaglio (inner) surface of the restoration, if required.

2. Apply Cement

Dispense a small amount from the dual-barreled syringe and discard it. Attach the mixing tip and apply a thin, uniform layer of Calibra Universal Cement to the entire intaglio surface of the restoration.

3. Seat the Restoration

Place the restoration onto the prepared tooth or abutment, ensuring correct alignment and fit. Protect the restoration from contamination or movement until the cement fully sets, approximately six minutes from the start of mixing or after light curing for light-transmissible restorations.

4. Cleanup of Excess Cement

• Self-cure mode: Excess cement will gel in about 1–2 minutes and remain gelled for approximately 1 minute, allowing easy removal.
• Dual-cure/light-cure mode: Light-cure the margins by moving the curing light around each surface. Excess cement will gel and remain workable for about 45 seconds.

5. Final Curing (if applicable)

For light-transmissible restorations, light-cure all surfaces (buccal, lingual, and occlusal) for 10 seconds each. For non-light-transmissible restorations, allow the cement to self-cure or dual-cure until the final set is complete.

6. Finish and Polish

After the cement has set and excess material is removed, finish and polish the restoration using appropriate dental finishing and polishing systems.
