Tray Preparation

• Apply Silfix Adhesive to all types of impression trays.
• Brush a thin layer onto the tray surface and allow it to dry for 3 minutes.

Preparation of the Impression Area

• Clean the area with an air/water spray.
• Remove any excess moisture before proceeding.

Mixing and Filling the Tray

• Take equal amounts of catalyst and base using the color-coded measuring spoons provided.
• Knead together with fingertips until the mixture is uniform in color.
• Immediately fill the prepared tray with the mixed material.

Note: Do not interchange measuring spoons or tub lids.

Impression Techniques

A) Double Mix Technique (Aquasil® Soft/Hard Putty + Aquasil® Ultra LV/XLV)

1. Inject light body material using a cartridge system around tooth preparations.
2. Apply moderate, even pressure on the dispenser trigger to mix the material; flow stops when the trigger is released.
3. Ensure complete coverage at gingival margins.
4. Seat the tray:

• Regular set: within 1 min 30 sec
• Fast set: within 1 min 15 sec

1. Retain the impression:

• Regular set: ≥3 minutes
• Fast set: ≥2 minutes

1. Confirm the impression is firm, resilient, and non-tacky before removal.

B) Putty/Wash Technique (Aquasil® Soft/Hard Putty + Aquasil® Ultra LV/XLV)

1. For the primary impression, seat the tray:

• Soft Putty: 1 min 30 sec after mixing
• Hard Putty: 1 min 15 sec after mixing

1. Retain the impression:

• Soft Putty: ≥3 minutes
• Hard Putty: ≥2 minutes

1. Remove, clean, and prepare the primary impression.
2. Inject light body material around tooth preparations using a cartridge system.
3. Seat the tray:

• Regular set: 2 min 15 sec
• Fast set: 1 min 15 sec

1. Retain the impression:

• Regular set: ≥2 min 45 sec
• Fast set: ≥1 min 45 sec

1. Ensure the impression is firm, resilient, and non-tacky before removal.

Cleaning, Disinfection, and Storage

• Rinse the impression under cold water and blow dry.
• Disinfect using a standard disinfecting solution or spray.
• Avoid direct sunlight during storage.

Casting and Electroplating

• To prevent surface porosity, wait 15 minutes before pouring plaster.
• Impressions may be poured up to 14 days later.
• Compatible with various die materials, including epoxy, and can be silver or copper plated.
• Wait 60 minutes before plating or pouring with epoxy.

Tray Cleaning Instructions

• Clean trays using standard methods after removing impression material.
• Fix Solvent may be used to remove any remaining layer of Silfix.
