Coltene Spec 3 LED Curing Light is a rechargeable high-intensity curing unit with three operating modes: Standard, 3K and Ortho. The device is designed to cover routine restorative curing, rapid high-intensity applications and orthodontic bracket workflows from one handpiece.

The sealed aluminium body supports cleaning between patients and the lithium-polymer battery is designed for more than 300 ten-second curing cycles per full charge. Curing effectiveness depends on material chemistry, shade, increment thickness and tip position, so the selected mode and exposure time must be compatible with the restorative material manufacturer instructions.

1. Charge the unit and inspect the handpiece, light guide and protective accessories before use.

2. Select Standard, 3K or Ortho mode only after confirming the mode is appropriate for the material and procedure.

3. Position the light guide close to and perpendicular to the material surface.

4. Use the exposure time recommended for the restorative or orthodontic material; do not assume the shortest device setting is suitable for every material.

5. Use the eye shield and appropriate protective measures during activation.

6. Clean and disinfect the handpiece and reprocess removable components according to the COLTENE instructions.
