Coltene Coltolux Led Light Cure is a cordless LED polymerisation unit with a slim pen-style handpiece and curing probe. COLTENE designed the optical output for camphorquinone-based light-cured materials, while the focused lens and narrow probe support access to posterior restorative areas.

The kit includes the handpiece, charger base, power supply, light shield, light lens and barrier sleeve. Cure time should always follow the restorative material instructions because shade, increment thickness, light distance and material chemistry can affect the required exposure. Maintain the lens and infection-control barriers as described in the device instructions.

1. Check that the handpiece is charged and inspect the light lens, barrier and shield before use.

2. Confirm that the restorative material is compatible with the Coltolux LED output spectrum.

3. Position the curing tip close to and perpendicular to the restoration without touching uncured material.

4. Activate the light for the exposure time specified by the restorative-material manufacturer.

5. Repeat from additional directions when required for restoration size or geometry.

6. Clean and disinfect the device and replace disposable barriers according to the COLTENE instructions.
