1. Clean the preparation and select the appropriate Biofit HD matrix band height based on the cavity depth.
2. Grasp the matrix band by its placement tab using cotton pliers or matrix forceps.
3. Gently slide the matrix band into the interproximal space past the gingival margin.
4. Place an appropriately sized Biofit wedge at the gingival margin to seal the cervical floor.
5. Verify that the wedge seals the margin without distorting the anatomical curve of the matrix.
6. Perform etching, bonding, and composite placement or injection molding according to clinical protocol.
7. Light cure thoroughly from occlusal, buccal, and lingual aspects.
8. Remove the wedge, pull the placement tab to remove the matrix, and finish the restoration.
