• Bioactive mineral matrix encourages hard tissue formation including dentin and cementum bridges
• Hydrophilic characteristics allow dependable setting and adhesion even in damp or blood-exposed sites
• High alkaline pH generates an antibacterial environment to inhibit residual microbial survival
• Low solubility prevents post-treatment microleakage and maintains marginal seal stability
• Non-toxic and non-mutagenic formulation minimizes periapical tissue irritation
• Controlled setting behavior minimizes dimensional shrinkage to safeguard repair integrity
• Hemostatic properties assist in managing localized bleeding during direct pulp capping
Ammdent Root Plus MTA is a high-performance mineral trioxide aggregate cement engineered specifically for challenging endodontic repairs. Comprising fine hydrophilic mineral oxide particles, the powder reacts with the dedicated liquid phase to yield a cohesive gel that solidifies into an impermeable, dimensionally stable seal. Its bioactive nature triggers calcium ion release, creating an optimal environment for tissue regeneration, cementogenesis, and hard-tissue barrier formation.
Designed for clinical versatility, this repair cement exhibits high moisture tolerance, allowing it to set predictably in humid root canal environments without compromising physical strength. The elevated pH imparts antibacterial efficacy against persistent intracanal microorganisms, while its dense radiopacity allows clear visualization on diagnostic radiographs.
Supplied as a 1 g powder and 3 ml liquid kit, Ammdent Root Plus MTA provides consistent handling characteristics for precise placement. It is an essential clinical choice for managing root perforations, direct pulp capping, and apical barrier procedures.
• Product Form: Powder and liquid system
• Composition: Ultra-fine hydrophilic mineral oxides
• Standard Mixing Ratio: 2.6:1.0 (powder to liquid)
• Orthograde Mixing Ratio: 2:1 by weight (3 scoops powder to 8 drops liquid)
• Radiopacity: High radiopacity exceeding dentin for clear radiographic monitoring
• Setting Mechanism: Hydrophilic gel formation that hardens into an insoluble matrix
• Biological Properties: Biocompatible, alkaline pH with antimicrobial action
• Storage Conditions: Store in a dry place between 10°C and 25°C
1 Pack Contains:
• 1 × Powder Bottle – 1 g
• 1 × Liquid Bottle – 3 ml
Isolate the operating field using a rubber dam and thoroughly irrigate the canal with sodium hypochlorite.
Dry the prepared cavity or root space using sterile paper points prior to placement.
Gently shake the powder bottle to loosen particles, then dispense the required scoops onto a glass block.
Hold the liquid bottle vertically and dispense drops onto the impervious mixing surface without creating air bubbles.
Mix the powder and liquid thoroughly to achieve a smooth, homogenous gel-like consistency.
Transport the mixed cement to the targeted repair site using an appropriate MTA carrier or instrument.
Condense the material gently into the perforation, root end, or pulp exposure, then complete the procedure per standard protocol.
