Dispense the required amount of Prolax paste into a clean dappen dish or ring cup.

Load a suitable rubber prophy cup or polishing brush mounted on a low-speed handpiece.

Apply small portions of paste directly onto the tooth surfaces prior to starting rotation.

Operate the handpiece at low speeds applying moderate, steady pressure across enamel surfaces.

Move continuously across facial, lingual, and interproximal margins to remove stains and plaque.

Instruct the patient to rinse thoroughly with water to evacuate residual paste particles.
