Ammdent PC Seal Polycarboxylate Cement is a specialized dental luting and base material formulated for reliable prosthetic cementation and cavity protection. Utilizing polyacrylic acid chemistry, it creates a direct bond with tooth enamel and dentin, ensuring excellent retention and marginal seal without aggressive surface conditioning. Its biocompatible properties make it an outstanding choice for sensitive vital teeth. The large polyacrylic acid molecules prevent deep tubular penetration, significantly mitigating post-cementation pulpal response and patient discomfort. Clean and isolate the prepared tooth surface thoroughly, ensuring it remains clean and slightly moist or dry without over-desiccating. Apply pulpal protection such as calcium hydroxide in deep cavities close to the pulp. Dispense the recommended powder-to-liquid ratio onto a clean glass slab or non-absorbent mixing pad. Rapidly incorporate the powder into the liquid within 30 to 40 seconds until a smooth, glossy mass is formed. Apply a thin layer of the mixed cement to the internal surfaces of the restoration or cavity floor. Seat the restoration firmly in place and maintain static pressure during the initial setting phase. Remove excess set material cleanly using a suitable dental scaler or probe after the rubbery stage.
