Ammdent Glass Fiber Post is a prefabricated endodontic post made from glass fiber reinforced resin with radiopaque fillers. It is intended for reinforcement and restoration of endodontically treated teeth, particularly where a post is required to retain a core build-up and support a definitive restoration. Its translucency permits light transmission during compatible resin cement procedures, while radiopacity facilitates radiographic evaluation.

The system is available in conical, cylindrical and retentive configurations, each offered in 0.8 mm, 1.0 mm, 1.2 mm and 1.4 mm diameters. The selection of profile and diameter can therefore be matched to the prepared post space and clinical requirements.

Each retail pack contains 10 posts of the selected configuration. The fiber-based construction has an elastic modulus close to dentin and is designed for passive placement after appropriate post-space preparation.

Complete root canal cleaning, shaping and obturation according to the applicable endodontic protocol.
Prepare the post space using suitable instruments while preserving an adequate apical seal.
Select the appropriate post type and diameter according to the prepared canal.
Trial-fit the post and confirm that it seats passively without binding.
Isolate and clean the prepared post space before cementation.
Apply a compatible resin cement according to the cement manufacturer's instructions.
Insert the selected post to the prepared working depth and remove excess cement.
Light-cure where applicable according to the cement manufacturer's instructions.
Stabilize the post and complete the core build-up after cementation.
Trim any excess post material and finish the restoration as required.
