Ammdent GI Zirconia Reinforced Glass Ionomer Cement is an advanced restorative formulation engineered to bridge the performance gap between traditional glass ionomers and composite resins. By infusing high-purity zirconia particles into a fluoroaluminosilicate glass matrix, this material delivers superior compressive strength, enhanced fracture toughness, and exceptional resistance to occlusal wear while maintaining the inherent benefits of conventional glass ionomers.
This self-curing restorative system forms a direct chemical bond with both enamel and dentin, eliminating the need for complex adhesive bonding protocols or acid etching. Prepare the tooth cavity following conservative restorative protocols and clean thoroughly with water spray.
Isolate the operating field using cotton rolls or a rubber dam, and gently dry without desiccating the dentin.
Dispense the recommended powder and liquid ratio onto a clean paper mixing pad or glass slab.
Divide the powder into two equal parts and incrementally mix into the liquid within 45 to 60 seconds until a smooth homogenous paste is obtained.
Apply the mixed material immediately into the prepared cavity using a suitable plastic instrument or carrier, ensuring complete adaptation to cavity walls.
Allow the material to self-cure undisturbed for approximately 3 to 4 minutes.
Finish and contour the restoration using fine finishing burs under water spray, then apply a protective varnish or matrix coat to preserve moisture balance.
