• Contains pre-blended spherical silver-tin alloy to significantly enhance compressive strength and wear resistance.
• Delivers sustained fluoride release over extended periods to protect against secondary caries.
• Exhibits direct chemical adhesion to both enamel and dentin without requiring separate etching or bonding agents.
• Matches the thermal expansion coefficient of natural tooth structure to help minimize marginal leakage.
• Provides exceptional biocompatibility to ensure positive pulpal and soft tissue response.
• Formulated with micro-fine powder to facilitate effortless spatulation and a uniform consistency.
• Ideal for Class I cavities, core build-up procedures, and primary tooth restorations.
Ammdent GI Silver Reinforced Restorative Cement is a specialized glass ionomer material formulated with integrated spherical silver-tin alloy particles. Designed for clinical situations demanding enhanced structural integrity, it combines the chemical bonding and biological compatibility of conventional glass ionomers with the increased mechanical durability offered by metal reinforcement.
This cement is suited for non-aesthetic posterior restorations, Class I and low-stress Class II cavities, primary tooth fillings, base/liner placement, and core build-up procedures prior to crown placement. Its intrinsic adhesion to tooth structure eliminates the need for complex bonding systems, while its low solubility and continuous fluoride release help safeguard margins against recurrent decay.
The kit is supplied in a pre-measured powder and liquid system, containing a 10 g powder jar, 4 ml liquid bottle, mixing pad, and scoop. Once mixed, it forms a workable, dark grey restorative paste that sets into a durable, wear-resistant foundation.
• Composition (Powder): Fluoroaluminosilicate glass powder with pre-mixed spherical silver-tin alloy powder
• Composition (Liquid): Aqueous solution of polyacrylic acid
• Powder-to-Liquid Ratio: 2 level scoops powder to 2–3 drops liquid
• Working Time: Approximately 1 minute 30 seconds at 23°C
• Setting Time: 5 minutes to 5 minutes 30 seconds from start of mixing
• Material Color: Metallic grey post-set shade
• Radiopacity: Radiopaque
• Storage Conditions: Store in a cool, dry place away from moisture
1 Pack Contains:
• 1 × Powder Jar – 10 g
• 1 × Liquid Bottle – 4 ml
• 1 × Mixing Pad
• 1 × Measuring Scoop & Spatula
Prepare the cavity using standard conservative protocols, leaving sound enamel and dentin without demanding extensive mechanical undercut retention. Clean and gently dry the prepared tooth surface, ensuring the substrate is moist but not desiccated. Dispense 2 level scoops of powder and 2 to 3 drops of liquid onto a glass slab or mixing pad. Divide the powder into two equal portions. Mix the first portion into the liquid completely within 15 to 20 seconds. Incorporate the remaining powder portion quickly and blend thoroughly for another 20 seconds to achieve a heavy, uniform paste. Adapt the mixed cement into the prepared cavity or core site within the 1 minute 30 second working time window. Allow the material to set undisturbed for approximately 5 minutes to 5 minutes 30 seconds from the initiation of mixing. Trim excess material and complete final finishing after full set.
