Ammdent Calform RC is an endodontic treatment paste combining calcium hydroxide and iodoform in a syringe delivery system. Formulated for high radiopacity and antimicrobial control, it serves as a temporary intracanal medicament during root canal procedures and pulpal therapy. The high pH environment created by the paste inhibits bacterial proliferation while neutralizing acidic exudates in infected root canals.

Because of its non-setting formulation, Calform RC remains easy to cleanse from the root canal using standard endodontic irrigants prior to final obturation. It is clinically indicated for direct pulp capping, pulpotomy, apexification, treatment of root resorption, and temporary root dressing. Additionally, it functions as a resorbable root canal filling material for deciduous teeth.

• Applicator Tips

Prepare, clean, and thoroughly shape the root canal system using standard endodontic protocols.

Irrigate the canal thoroughly and dry complete length using absorbent paper points.

Attach a disposable applicator tip securely to the Calform RC syringe.

Insert the tip into the root canal short of the apical apex.

Dispense the paste gradually while slowly withdrawing the tip to fill the canal space uniformly.

Clean away any excess paste from the pulp chamber using a sterile cotton pellet.

Place a suitable temporary coronal restorative material to seal the cavity.

Remove the paste completely with endodontic irrigants at the subsequent appointment before obturation.
