1. Take a diagnostic radiograph to determine root canal morphology, length, and appropriate post dimensions.
2. Select the Universal Drill and set low-speed contra-angle handpiece speed between 1,000 and 2,000 rpm.
3. Remove the gutta-percha root filling to the predetermined depth, leaving at least 4 mm of apical seal intact.
4. Select the matching size drill (Size 0, 1, 2, or 3) corresponding to the intended RelyX Fiber Post size.
5. Shape and enlarge the canal space in an in-and-out motion without applying excessive lateral force.
6. Irrigate thoroughly with water or saline to clear dentinal debris, then dry the canal using absorbent paper points.
7. Clean, sterilize, and inspect the drill according to standard autoclave protocol before subsequent reuse.
