1. Prepare the Pentamix automatic mixing unit with the appropriate impression material cartridge.
2. Assemble the elastomer syringe by securing the barrel and attaching a fresh intraoral tip.
3. Dispense the freshly mixed light or medium-bodied material directly into the syringe barrel.
4. Position the syringe tip intraorally adjacent to the prepared margins.
5. Depress the plunger with continuous pressure to express material evenly into sulcular areas.
6. Remove the syringe, seat the main impression tray, and allow the material to polymerize completely.
7. Disassemble the unit, discard the disposable tip, and clean the reusable components following protocol.
