* Firm packable consistency allows smooth condensation into deep cavities without sticking to placement instruments.
* High slumping resistance retains sculpted cuspal morphology and occlusal anatomy prior to light curing.
* Low volumetric polymerization shrinkage minimizes contraction stress on tooth structure to reduce post-operative sensitivity.
* Superior wear resistance and mechanical strength match the demands of posterior stress-bearing areas.
* Rapid 20-second light-curing time per 2.5 mm layer speeds up complex direct restorative procedures.
* Outstanding marginal seal and interproximal contact adaptation help prevent microleakage and secondary caries.
* Broad clinical versatility covers direct posterior fillings, core build-ups, splinting, and indirect preparations
3M ESPE P-60 Micro Hybrid Posterior Syringe is a high-performance packable composite material engineered specifically for demanding Class I and Class II posterior restorations. Its specialized microhybrid resin matrix features heavy filler loading of zirconia and silica, conferring exceptional fracture toughness and resistance to occlusal wear comparable to traditional dental amalgam.
The composite exhibits unique physical handling qualities: it packs tightly into cavity walls without pulling back or sticking to stainless steel instruments. Practitioners can shape precise cusps and marginal ridges with confidence, as the non-slump formulation preserves intricate anatomical contours before light polymerization.
Designed to streamline operatory time, this restorative material enables fast placement with a cure depth up to 2.5 mm in just 20 seconds. Reduced volumetric shrinkage protects tooth integrity, maintaining tight marginal seals and mitigating patient thermal sensitivity after placement.
Supplied in a single 4 g syringe format, 3M ESPE P-60 is available in popular posterior shades such as A3 and B2. It serves as a dependable choice for direct posterior fillings, structural core build-ups, tooth splinting, and indirect inlay or onlay foundations.

1. Prepare the cavity, isolate the operatory field using a rubber dam, and apply a compatible dental bonding adhesive according to its clinical protocol.
2. Dispense the required amount of composite resin directly from the syringe onto a mixing pad or into the cavity preparation.
3. Place the material incrementally into the prepared site, keeping layer thickness within 2.5 mm.
4. Condense firmly and sculpt the occlusal anatomical features, leveraging its anti-slumping microhybrid formulation.
5. Light cure each 2.5 mm increment for 20 seconds using a standard dental light curing unit.
6. Complete final occlusal adjustment, finishing with fine diamond burs, and polish to achieve a smooth surface finish.
