1. Prepare the custom or stock impression tray using an appropriate polyether tray adhesive and allow it to dry completely.
2. Dispense equal lengths of base and catalyst pastes onto a impervious mixing pad.
3. Mix thoroughly using a spatula for 45 seconds until a homogeneous color and streak-free mix is achieved.
4. Load the mixed polyether material into the impression tray and syringe a portion around the clean, dry preparation site.
5. Insert the loaded tray into the patient's mouth and hold steadily in position without applying excess pressure until set.
6. Remove the set impression carefully along the long axis of the teeth, rinse thoroughly, and disinfect per clinical protocol.
